63^th anniversary of the end of the Second World War
(May 8^th, 2008)

The 63^th anniversary of the end of the Second World War was a good occasion to share the ideas of our project with wider public. On the 8^th of May, Anna, Tim and Zuzanna participated in a broadcast run by Blazej Prosniewski at Radio Kampus. We discussed various traditions of commemoration in Germany, Poland and Russia. We pointed to similarities and differences in re-presenting and interpreting of WWII in these three countries. At the end, we all agreed that crucial for future good relationships between Germans, Poles and Russians are common educational projects which allow to avoid sterotypes and help to understand different meanings of the past.
